Infosys BPO Limited was incorporated as Progeon Limited on April 3, 2002. The main aim was to provide business process management services to companies who outsource their business processes to different clients. Infosys BPO is a majority owned and controlled subsidiary of Infosys Technologies Limited (‘Infosys’, NASD NM : INFY). At starting, there was 74% share of Infosys & 26% share of Citibank. The Company helps different clients across the globe to improve their competitive positioning by managing their business processes in better way. The name of the Company was changed from Progeon Limited to Infosys BPO Limited on August 29, 2006. Today it is among the top BPOs in India according to NASSCOM survey.
