IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2012-2013

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has issued a notification for the IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2012-2013. This is called CWE-II for Clerk Grade. There will be 20 public sector banks which will be participating instead of 19 in previous years exam. The newly added bank is IDBI Bank which accepts IBPS CWE score card for the selection of clerical cadres from this year.

 

From this year onwards IBPS will organize online written exam. Online exam will be conducted in December 2012. All the successful applicants of the IBPS CWE-II will have to undergo a Common Interview conducted by IBPS. Depending on the final score (which will have score of Written + Interview) candidates will be called to join only any one bank based on the preference of banks given by candidates while filling the form. CAT 2012 Started

CAT 2012 Started:

Today 11th Oct is the day at which CAT 2012 is going to start. It will be dream to crack this test for lot of students who have prepared for this from a long time. Total of around 2.1 Lakh students will appear for this exam this year. The test will be held in 36 Cities across India in 21 days of span. Last day for the CAT Exam is 6th Nov. CAT 2012 Exam will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM K), Kozhikode on behalf of Indian Institutes of Management.

Exam will be conducted in 2 sessions. morning session will start @ 10 am & afternoon session will start @ 3: 15 pm. Candidate need to report at the center at 8: 30 am & 1.45 pm respectively for both sessions.

CAT exam will have two session, section 1 is Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation & section 2 is Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning. Each section will have 70 minutes time limit. Second section can be attempted once the first section is over. A 15 minute tutorial will be given before the start of the CAT Exam & candidates are advised to go through that carefully before starting the main examination.

The result of the CAT Exam will be declared on 9th Jan 2013.

In my earlier article, I have discussed about the admission & review of the course. As promised earlier, I am going to discuss about the XLRI Satellite Programme Interview Tips. After getting shortlisted from XLRI, one needs to appear for the Interview for this Satellite course.

About Interview:  Interview will be conducted by XLRI Faculty. There may be critieria like Academics, Year of Experience etc for selecting the candidate for the interview. Usually 3-4 Professor will be present in the interview. One needs to be well prepared for the interview. There are couple of point which need to be taken care for the interview.

  • First thing to get well dressed for the interview.  Apart from this you need to prepared for the questions, like why you want to join this course despite of your current role in the organization. How it will affect to your career growth as per your understanding. Try to give pragmatic & real answers for these questions. Don’t give some imaginary or high funda answers for these questions.

  • There will be couple of questions regarding your present & past work experience. They may ask about the major achievements of yours in the past roles. Try to explain your Role in simple & elegant manner to the Interview panel & clear their doubt politely when necessary.

  • Apart from these, there may be couple of questions on your native place or past academic courses which you have done. Try to give the answers once you are quite sure about them. If you are not sure about the answers then please tell them that you are not sure about the answers.

Limitation of the XLRI Satellite programme

As you guys have read my earlier article about the XLRI Satellite programme benefits already, here I am going to tell you about the limitation of the programme. As we all know that there is always two side of the coin & I don’t want to be treated as promoter of the XLRI Satellite programme. Therefore I need to fair with my all readers & let them know about the drawback or maybe you can call the limitation of this course. So here are the points which can tell you the other side of the coin ie limitation of the XLRI Satellite programme.

Limitation of the XLRI Satellite programme:

1)      Since it is not full time programme, hence there will not be any campus placement available for this particular programme by XLRI. They will help you with the certificate only & you have to make proper use of this certification course.

2)      Although you will get the alumini status from institute but it would be like president’s position.

3)      Since the classes will be conducted through video conference mode, hence student proper attention in the class can’t be ensured.

4)      Sometimes there maybe some technical difficulties in the video conference mode, for that issue assigning proper responsibility are really difficult & session may be missed. This is quite rare too.

5)      All rules & regulation about this course is very strict which need adequate planning for the working executive. Hence student should be well prepared for any such circumstances.
