About BHEL:

BHEL is one of the largest engineering and manufacturing companies in India in terms of turnover.It was established in 1964 for the power sector reform mainly.

BHEL is currently engaged in the design, engineering, manufacture, construction, testing, commissioning and servicing of a wide range of products and services for the core sectors of the economy like Power, Transmission, Industry, Transportation (Railway), Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas and Defence.Currently BHEL have 15 manufacturing divisions, two repair units, four regional offices, 8 service centres and 15 regional centres and currently operate at more than 150 project sites across India and abroad.

No of Vacancy: Here are details of the vacancy for the Engineering stream:

• Mechanical : 300


• Electrical: 150


• Electronics: 50

Total is 500 (it may vary with the actual requirement)

Selection Process:

a)The candidates will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of GATE-2013 marks/score card (out of 100) in order of merit in the ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies in each Engineering discipline and respective category. For Physically Challenged candidates, relaxation of 50% below the cut-off marks will be given in their respective categories for getting shortlisted for final interview.

b). Final selection list of the candidates will be prepared by assigning a weightage of 75% for GATE-2013 marks/score (marks out of 100) and 25% weightage to the marks obtained in the Interview.

Salary Details:

Candidates joining BHEL as Engineer Trainees will need to undergo training for one year.  During training, basic pay of Rs.20600/- will be paid. After successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed as Engineers in the scale of pay of Rs 24900-50500.
