GATE 2013

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination that mainly tests the understanding of technical knowledge of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. Here are the details given for the GATE 2013 Exam.

For those who have finished their Bachlor degree & have interest in higher studies can give the GATE Exam & take admission in the respective colleges in India. This will help them to glorify their career. After finishing M.Tech they can opt for PhD for further higher studies.

Eligibility for GATE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (4 years after 10+2/Post B.Sc./Post-Diploma)

  • Master’s degree in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent

  • Integrated Master’s degree programs or Dual Degree programs in Engineering / Technology (Five year programme)

Commencement of Online Application submission1 Sept 2012
a) Last date for the Submission of Online Application Form30 Sept 2012
b) Last date for the Receipt of printed version of Application at  respective GATE Offices8 Oct 2012
c) Announcement of results15 March 2013

 

Exam Pattern Details:

The exam duration is less with 3 hours only, in which candidates have to answer 60 multiple choice type questions and the total marks for the questions given are 100 & wrong answers has negative markings too. Questions of the exam are tricky one so proper attention is needed to solve them.

Result:

After the evaluation of the answers, the marks obtained by a candidate will be converted to a normalized GATE Score in percentile.

GATE Score Card:

Scorecard will be issued (mailed to the correspondence address given in the application form while filling the form) to all the candidates for a paper whose marks are equal to or above the qualifying marks of SC/ST/PD candidates in that paper.
