About GATE: GATE Stands for Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers, generally famous with its name GATE. This examination is organized each year by Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs) as single & unique entrance examination for the Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Master in Science (M.S.) in the most reputed colleges and institutions in India like IITs, NITs and IIITs. Some State universities and colleges/Institute also prefer GATE scorecard to take admission in their respective institutes.
