Eligibility for NTPC:
a) Full time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE with not less than aggregate 65% marks in total.
b) Final year students are also eligible, provided they have to attain at least 65% marks in their engineering degree qualifying examination.
Selection Process for NTPC:
Eligible candidates based on the above mentioned criteria will need to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2013 Exam. Based on the GATE-2013 score candidates will be short listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview round. Candidates have to get the minimum marks as qualifying criteria.
Age Limit: Age limit is 27 years as on 1.1.2013. This means that candidate born after 1.1.1986 should not apply for these posts.
Package Details:

Selected candidates through this process will be placed in the pay scale of Rupees 24900-3%-50500 & the basic pay of Rs. 24900/- during one-year training period. These candidates will be absorbed after successful completion of training as Assistant Manager in the NTPC in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-3%-50500.
